Things to Consider Before You Start!!!

Your
X-Treme Gate’s Installation Instructions are for unmodified bed and
tailgate applications.

You
must remove any bed liner panels attached to your tailgate.
·
If
your bed has a tonneau cover you must consider the clearance issue with support
brackets, sliding rails, and locking mechanisms. Your X-Treme Gate may be mounted
forward/lower on the tailgate to compensate for this clearance; however you
must compensate for the change in the side panel templates as well. The best way to do this is test for clearance
with the tailgate closed before proceeding with the install.
