X-Treme Gate Slide-Out Truck Bed Extender is

How does the
X-Treme Gate
work?
To deploy
the X-Treme Gate "Slide-Out" Truck Bed Extender;
Open
the tailgate and pull the extending panels out of
the housing (to the rear like a drawer).
Lift the side panels to a vertical
position.
Lift/rotate the panels up and forward until the end
panels rest on the housing.
Pull
the spring loaded sliding portion of the retainer
clip to the rear and slide the retainer clip hole
over the retainer/striker post and release the
clip.
Repeat
on the other side.
To
stow, reverse the steps

What is the maximum load I can transport with the
X-Treme Gate?
Pickup
trucks have specific weight limits for their tailgates
while under way. See your owner’s manual for your
specific vehicle’s tailgate load limit. In the stowed
position, the X-Treme Gate "Slide-Out" Truck Bed
Extender is designed to support over 1,000lbs. (so
you may roll that road hog over it). In the
deployed position the X-Treme Gate "Slide-Out" Truck Bed
Extender is designed to support over 250lbs., exceeding
most all manufacturer’s "under way" tailgate load capacities
(please refer to your owners manual for specific weight
limits for your tailgate). How long does it take to install
the X-Treme Gate? The X-Treme Gate can be
installed in about 1 hour using a drill gun, phillips
head bit, marker, measuring tape, and optional jig saw
and 1/8" sheet metal drill bit (for pilot holes).
